The paint on those roughly ‘88 Buick/Oldsmobiles was in another class. Both looks and protection.

There’s an equally clean late 80’s Bonneville in my town and I ask myself the same thing. The only logical answer is that it was owned by snow birds who left it in the garage when they took the RV down to Florida.

Remember when trunk lids on sedans didn’t open down to the bumper?
The trunk lid appears fine. The rear trim panel is dented though, and the rear bumper appears cracked. Probably fairly easily found parts.

An elderly neighbor (in PA) had one in really good shape. I believe most were under similar ownership at one point . This was ~10 years ago though, so they are now harder to find in this condition .
